POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
PAYMENT TERMS:A fifty percent deposit is required to secure a reservation. The remaining balance is due thirty days prior to arrival with the specified security deposit. Each payment shall be made payable to Four by the Shore, LLC and mailed to Sheila Wood, 169 Buckley Lane, Battle Creek, MI 49015. Security deposits will be returned within thirty days from the date of departure. Rental rates and availability are subject to change.
CANCELLATION TERMS: A full refund, less a $100 cancellation fee will be issued if the reserved period can be rented. If the property can not be rented, 100% of the deposit will be forfeited regardless of reason. Failure of any payments due may result in the cancellation of reservation at our discretion. Sorry, no refunds will be provided for decreasing the length of stay or for early departure. Availability of lodging will determine if a stay can be extended.
CHECK-IN/OUT: Check-in is on Saturday after 2:00pm Eastern Standard Time. Check-out time is on Saturday, 10:00am Eastern Standard Time.
CLEANING CHECKLIST: Leave it clean. Sheets can be left in laundry room. The cleaning fee is set to cover the cleaning fees for a unit that is left tidy. If the unit is left filthy, an extra charge may be deducted from your deposit.
CAPACITY: Each property has a specific maximum capacity and exceptions will not be made to exceed the stated capacity at any time.
MISCELLANEOUS: Please let us know if any items are lost, broken or damaged in any way. Replacement or repair cost will be fairly adjusted from the security deposit based upon our determination of circumstances (item simply wore out per age of item, or damage was preventable).
SMOKING IS ABSOLUTELY NOT ALLOWED. We ask that smoking of cigarettes, cigars, pipes, etc. be conducted outside of the house and that no trace of cigarette use be evident upon your departure. Thank you.
PETS are subject to approval with an additional security deposit covering any damages, extra cleaning such as that of pet hair, and removal of any smell. It is expected that their be no trace of the pet upon departure, meaning the yard must be clear of "land mines!" and every effort should be made to clear pet hair from floors and furniture.
NOISE: Please remember to keep your voices and music levels to a minimum. In most instances, our accommodations are directly adjacent to other residential properties. Please respect our neighbors by not using profanity or behaving in any way that could be considered offensive to others. If you need to wash your beach towels or bathing suits, please shake out the sand prior to putting them in the washer and/or dryer.
SAND: Please wash all sand off outside the house in the exterior showers or garden hoses provided. We suggest keeping a large bucket of water outside for scrubbing off beach sand before entering. (Youíll be amazed at how beach sand will travel to all rooms in the house if you donít!)
PHONE: There is no land line at the home, so please bring your cell phones.
When using the grill, please make sure it is far enough away from the house to prevent a fire, grease splattering and smoke getting in the house. Also, please remember to turn off the gas and clean and cover the grill after each use.
GARBAGE PICK UP: The weekly garbage pick-up is early Monday morning. Please bring the garbage cans to the street on Sunday evening.
